Position: Contract Manager
Overview: Vistas Global is on the lookout for a seasoned Contract Manager to join our team and lead the management of all contract-related activities for our holding company and its subsidiaries. This pivotal role will be instrumental in safeguarding the company’s reputation by ensuring full compliance with regulatory guidelines and adeptly managing legal matters including contracts, frameworks, and disputes. The successful candidate will also play a crucial role in overseeing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence processes. The ideal individual will bring a strong background in contract law, particularly with experience in FIDIC or JCT, and regional expertise in construction and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Oversight: Manage all aspects of contract administration, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and protect the company’s interests.
- Compliance and Legal Matters: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal guidelines and regulations. Handle complex legal issues related to contracts, frameworks, and disputes, maintaining the company’s reputation and minimizing risk.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Oversee the M&A process, including due diligence and the integration of contractual obligations. Provide strategic advice on contract implications in relation to mergers and acquisitions.
- Claims Management: Apply a strong knowledge of FIDIC and JCT contract law to manage and resolve claims effectively. Address disputes through arbitration or other legal processes as necessary.
- Regional Experience: Utilize your regional experience in administering or defending contracts and sub-contracts within the construction and engineering sectors. Additional experience in technology, service contracts, and labor contracts will be highly valued.
Requirements:
- Construction Law Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in construction law with specific experience in FIDIC and JCT, as well as a strong background in claim management and arbitration.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in contract management, particularly within the construction industry. Proven track record of handling complex legal matters and managing contracts effectively.
- Diverse Contract Experience: Experience with technology, service contracts, and labor contracts will be considered an advantage.
