Fire Pump Operator
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role demands comprehensive expertise in fire protection systems, particularly in fire pump operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in various aspects of fire safety and installation, with a focus on practical skills and relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities and Knowledge Requirements:
- Fire Pump Operations and Maintenance:
- Demonstrated expertise in the operation and maintenance of fire pumps, ensuring they function effectively and reliably in emergency situations.
- Grooving and Threading Machine Operations:
- Proficiency in operating grooving and threading machines essential for fire protection system installations.
- Fire Fighting Pipe Installation:
- Experience in the installation of fire fighting pipes, adhering to safety standards and ensuring proper system setup and functionality.
- Fire Pump Testing and Commissioning:
- Skilled in testing and commissioning fire pumps to verify their performance and readiness for operation.
Additional Knowledge:
- Fire Alarm Systems:
- Understanding of fire alarm systems, including their installation, operation, and maintenance.
- FM 200 Systems:
- Familiarity with FM 200 fire suppression systems, including their use and maintenance.
- Aerosol Systems:
- Knowledge of aerosol fire suppression systems, including their operational and maintenance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Educational and Training Certificates:
- Relevant educational qualifications and training certificates in fire protection and safety.
- Qatar Driving License:
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid Qatar Driving License, which will facilitate the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
- A solid foundation in fire protection systems, including practical experience in fire pump operations and maintenance.
- Hands-on skills in grooving and threading machine operations, fire fighting pipe installation, and pump testing and commissioning.
- Additional knowledge of fire alarm systems, FM 200, and aerosol systems.
- Relevant educational and training certificates to demonstrate expertise.
- A valid Qatar Driving License is preferred, enhancing the ability to perform job duties efficiently.
