Google is preparing to launch the Pixel 9 family on August 13, introducing the Pixel 9 Pro XL as the successor to the Pixel 8 Pro, featuring an XL size and advanced camera capabilities. PixoPhone, a YouTube channel, recently showcased a comparative hands-on video of these two devices.
Both phones feature a similar matte finish on the back, with the Pixel 9 Pro XL matching the size of its predecessor, the Pixel 8 Pro. However, notable visual differences are apparent. The Pixel 9 Pro XL opts for a flat frame instead of the curved edges found on the Pixel 8 Pro. The camera setup on the back maintains a familiar alignment but now includes an oval-shaped island, departing from the previous model’s full-width design.
Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro XL boasts more rounded corners, enhancing ergonomics and reducing the likelihood of sharp edges leaving marks on the palm. In the background of the video, a Pixel 9 model is also visible on the table, previously glimpsed in another video from the same channel.
