Position: Data Quality Consultant
Location: Bahrain
Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant experience
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
Key Responsibilities:
- Framework Development: Design and implement a comprehensive Data Quality (DQ) Management Framework, including processes, policies, and standards, to ensure robust data governance within the organization.
- Data Quality Monitoring: Identify and capture data quality issues across the data lifecycle. Utilize data analysis skills to determine root causes and define remediation strategies in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
- Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the entire data lifecycle, encompassing data creation, capture, processing, storage, and utilization, ensuring data quality throughout.
- Technical Development: Develop and optimize SQL Server T-SQL procedures and functions for batch processing and reporting, tailored to meet user requirements and enhance data quality.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Employ advanced Excel, SQL, and SAS skills to perform quantitative data analysis. Create and interpret data quality reports and dashboards to extract actionable insights and drive data quality improvements.
- Project Management: Lead technology process improvement projects, leveraging virtual teams to drive permanent enhancements in data capture systems and overall data quality.
- Organizational Communication: Utilize strong organizational and communication skills to promote data quality practices within the organization. Translate complex data-related information into clear, compelling messages for both IT and business users.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, ETL tools, and data profiling.
- Comprehensive understanding of data governance processes, Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data Management (RDM), and Data Warehousing.
- Experience with identifying, assessing, and mitigating data quality issues and risks.
- Expertise in defining and implementing Data Quality (DQ) Management Frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Knowledge of banking and financial products, with a preference for Islamic Banking experience, and familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to drive technology process improvements and manage virtual teams effectively.
