Food Safety Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Food Safety Manager to join a prominent organization in Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for professionals with a robust background in food safety management and a passion for ensuring the highest standards in food quality and safety. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety, a HACCP certification, and preferably experience in the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Safety Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of food safety within the organization. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive food safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- HACCP Certification: Utilize your HACCP certification to establish and monitor critical control points in the food production process. Ensure that all food safety protocols are adhered to and conduct regular reviews to uphold the highest safety standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all food safety practices comply with local, national, and international regulations. Stay updated with the latest food safety laws and standards, and ensure the organization’s practices align with these regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance overall food safety practices.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety procedures and best practices. Foster a culture of food safety awareness within the organization through continuous education and support.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of food safety inspections, audits, and compliance activities. Prepare detailed reports for senior management to highlight food safety performance and areas for improvement.
- GCC Experience: Leverage your experience in the GCC region to navigate specific regional food safety requirements and practices. Use your understanding of local regulations and market conditions to ensure effective food safety management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety management, with a proven track record in implementing and managing food safety programs.
- Certification: Certified in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Additional certifications related to food safety are a plus.
- GCC Experience: Previous experience working in the GCC region is preferred, providing valuable insight into regional food safety standards and practices.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective food safety measures. Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and report to management.
