Key Responsibilities:
- DCS Operations: Control the safe startup, normal operations, and shutdown processes using the Distribution Control System (DCS) according to established procedures and manuals.
- Panel Management: Operate and adjust unit conditions and parameters through DCS, specifically using the EMERSON-DELTA V SYSTEM Panels.
- Emergency Handling: Manage all unit emergencies effectively and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
- Communication: Coordinate with relevant parties during unit upsets, startups, shutdowns, and emergencies to ensure smooth operations.
- Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting: Operate and troubleshoot all unit equipment within the plant, ensuring optimal performance.
- Field Operator Instructions: Provide clear instructions to field operators to ensure alignment with operational standards.
- Safety Compliance: Perform all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system and maintain safety standards.
- Process Maintenance: Ensure process specifications are maintained within client standard limits.
- Support Shift Supervisors: Assist shift supervisors in plant operations and cover any manpower shortages during shifts.
- Defect Reporting: Report any equipment defects and coordinate with maintenance teams for prompt rectification.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily and monthly production reports.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Background: BE/B. Tech or Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience for degree holders and 8 years of experience for diploma holders in a similar role.
- Language Skills: Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Residency: Based in Kuwait with a transferable residency permit.
- Availability: Ability to join immediately.
