One person was hospitalized following a fall from a swing ride at Canada’s Wonderland on Thursday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson for the amusement park in Vaughan, the incident occurred on the Swing of the Century ride, with ride operators reporting a guest injury shortly after 2:30 p.m.
“Park medical staff and EMS responded, and the guest was transported to the hospital,” the spokesperson said in an email to CTV News Toronto.
The safety of guests and staff is the park’s top priority, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Paramedics from York Region reported that the individual fell approximately 30 to 40 feet from the ride and was taken to a trauma center. They did not disclose the extent of the injuries or the current condition of the person.
